Fragments of the half-mask were found in the place where the Church of the Tithes founded by Vladimir the Great stood in the 10th century. According to A. N. Kirpicznikow, this half mask belonged to the Scandinavian type, similarly to the examples from Gjermundbu and Gothic Lokrume. Therefore, in this interpretation the preserved bell of the helmet from Gjermundbu was used.
This is a simplified version, because in the original the half mask was inlaid with gold and silver.
The listed price of the helmet does not include the chainmail cap!
Virtually all helmets had a chainmail mount, so if you order a helmet together with a riveted aventail, we will mount it for free.
