The padded hoses became popular in Europe at the end of the 11th century with the beginning of the Crusades. In this form, it reached the peak of its popularity in the 13th century - which is confirmed by such iconographic sources as, for example, the Maciejowski Bible.
The padded hoses we offer has excellent damping properties, while not being too thick - which does not hinder movement and allows the wearer to maintain mobility.
It is made of a layer of 100% linen, several layers of damping and lining.
It is stitched by machine.

Our work combines archaeological evidence with iconographic sources—manuscript illustrations, reliefs, and early medieval visual representations—allowing us to create garments that are both source-based and functional. The tunic can be worn as a standalone outer garment or as a base layer under cloaks, coats, or mail.
