A reconstruction of a boat-shaped sabre crossguard associated with the Khazars, dating to the 10th–11th century.
The design is based on an archaeological find, with parallels known from the Saltovo-Mayaki culture of the 9th–10th centuries. The crossguard features characteristic spherical terminals and pyramid-shaped projections in the centre.
