Historically accurate early medieval fabric
This hand-woven fabric made from 100% merino wool is produced on a traditional loom with a flying shuttle, using historical weaving techniques. It is one of the most historically accurate fabrics available on the reenactment market.
The 2/2 twill (diagonal) weave was the most common and widely used weave in the early Middle Ages, frequently found in archaeological discoveries from Northern and Central Europe. This makes the fabric perfectly suited for historical reenactment, LARP, film, theatre, and museum projects.
The fabric is made from yarn dyed before weaving, which is historically authentic. As a result, the material does not show blotches or uneven coloration typical of piece-dyed fabrics. The color is deep, even, and long-lasting.
